KET Louisville Production Center

More service. More engagement. More opportunity.

Used by more than two million people every week, KET is one of the largest and most respected public television networks in the nation.

KET has officially opened its new KET Louisville Production Center in the iconic American Life Building on West Main Street.

The space supports production, education, fundraising and outreach staff. The state-of-the-art studio also serves as the home for the KET productions Inside Louisville, Kentucky Health and News Quiz, and will likewise serve to accommodate other KET programs, such as Kentucky Edition and Kentucky Tonight.

This production center represents KET’s commitment to Louisville and providing quality programming and educational resources to Kentucky.

"Kentucky's only statewide media source"

KET is able to serve more than two million people each week thanks to financial support from viewers like you. Will you show your support today and help us continue this important work in Louisville and beyond?

Powered by a cornerstone lead grant from the James Graham Brown Foundation, and the generosity of the Gheens Foundation, Henry Heuser, Austin and Jane Musselman, and legacy donors, we are seeking additional partners in KET’s comprehensive campaign for Louisville.

Thank you for your trust and for sharing our vision of what KET can and should be in Louisville. We pledge to make you proud.

About the American Life and Accident Insurance Company Building

Exposed to the International Style while at Wellesley College, Nancy “Nana” Lampton convinced her father to ask Mies van der Rohe to design the American Life and Accident Insurance Company headquarters in Louisville. Dinwiddie Lampton called the architect at his Chicago office and the deal was made over the phone. Mies van der Rohe sent along preliminary plans shortly before his death in August of 1969, making this building among the last projects of the his fabled career. The building was completed in 1973 under the supervision of the architect’s office.
