Hailing from New Jersey, Wendy Williams entered the spotlight as a radio DJ and quickly earned the title of "shock jockette," speaking freely about her personal life. Later, she gained notoriety as the star of a VH1 reality television show. In 2009, Williams left her radio show to host the daytime talk show, The Wendy Williams Show. She has also been inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
