Special one-day ‘Summer Pledge’ features concerts from Roy Orbison, Frankie Valli and Carole King

A special one-day SummerPledge event is scheduled for Sunday, June 11, and will feature an assortment of special concerts from artists including Roy Orbison, Carole King and Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. During the one-day pledge event, viewers can support KET by calling in their pledge to 800-866-0366 or donating online at KET.org/Donate.

One day SummerPledge programs include:

Burt Bacharach: A Life in Song
Celebrate the late legendary songwriter in a 2015 tribute at London’s Royal Festival Hall. The concert captures the magic of Burt Bacharach’s timeless classics, featuring performances by Joss Stone, Justin Hayward, Alfie Boe, Shaun Escoffery, Rebecca Ferguson, Michael Kiwanuka and Laura Mvula.

Carole King: Home Again – Live in Central Park  
This concert documentary presents a behind-the-scenes look at Carole King’s legendary career, including footage from her triumphant 1973 homecoming concert in Central Park before an audience of 100,000. The film captures King at the height of her career, basking in the enormous popularity of her album Tapestry

Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons: A Life on Stage  
In the 1960s, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons recorded hit after hit and sold more than 175 million records. This special concert performance from 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the band’s first #1 song, “Sherry,” and includes renditions of many of their smash hits, including “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
