KET’s Summer Celebration re-tunes in June 2021

For Release: 04/16/20 3:49 PM

To protect the safety and wellness of the KET family during these extraordinary times, KET regrets being unable to host its signature statewide fundraiser in June.

The 32nd-annual Summer Celebration “I Want My KET” will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021. Mira Ball will host the event again at Donamire Farm in Lexington, and Melanie Glasscock Simpson will resume her role as Honorary Chair.

Summer Celebration’s silent auction, which was already virtual, will continue as planned; mobile bidding will begin June 1 at KET.org/summercelebration.

“KET is grateful for the long-time support of our friends and volunteers who have built Summer Celebration into an ever-growing, long-lasting tradition,” said Shae Hopkins, KET executive director and CEO. “Although we’re disappointed to have to cancel this year’s event, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone next year for an even bigger and fun 1980s-themed party.”

KET thanks and encourages support of these generous community citizens who have not stopped believin’ in what television can and should be; they have continued their funding of this year’s effort, despite the change:
