For Release: 09/20/17 12:06 PM

Shae Hopkins, KET executive director and CEO, was recently elected to serve a two-year term as co-chair of the Organization of State Broadcast Executives (OSBE) Board of Directors.

“I’m very honored to have been elected as co-chair of the OBE Board of Directors. This is a testament to the respect that broadcasting leaders across the country have for KET and underscores KET’s reputation as one of the leading public broadcasting services in the nation,” Hopkins said.

The Organization of State Broadcasting Executives (OSBE) is an association of chief executive officers of state public broadcasting networks and directors of commissions and authorities with statewide public broadcasting responsibilities.

Hopkins currently serves on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) Board of Directors and is a past chair of the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) Board of Directors. She has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including the 2011 National Advocacy Award from the Association of Public Television Stations (APTS).

Prior to being named KET’s executive director in 2010, Hopkins – a 31-year veteran of the agency – served in a number of KET management positions, including deputy executive director and founding president of the Commonwealth Fund for KET.
