For Release: 04/17/25 2:07 PM

On an all-new episode of Kentucky Life, host Chip Polston brings viewers fascinating stories from across the Commonwealth.

Polston visits Carter Caves State Resort Park in Carter County where he learns more about bat hibernation and the cave system’s unique ecosystem.

The KBO All-State band program brings together the state’s best middle school musicians with a nationally renowned band director for a weekend of intense rehearsals and an amazing finale.

Writer Crystal Wilkinson grew up on her grandparents’ farm in Eastern Kentucky. Through hard work and determination, she has found success as a writer, having published a handful of novels, a poetry book and – most recently – a cookbook/memoir. From 2021 until 2023, she served as Kentucky Poet Laureate, where she was a champion for the rich art and culture of our state.

Polston learns the game of Pickleball from 80-year-old national champion and coach, Larry Robets, before facing off against professional pickleball player, Mari Humberg!
