For Release: 03/19/23 11:59 PM

On this episode of Kentucky Life, host Chip Polston explores how the historic flood that devastated portions of Eastern Kentucky in July 2022 showcased the hard work, resilience and kindness of mountain communities; talks with photographer Dean Hill, who has dedicated his life to capturing Appalachia on film; enjoys the work of painter Ceirra Evans, who draws from her childhood to showcase the people of Appalachia; and visits Russell and the once-popular Railroad YMCA, now an abandoned building, that was originally built to house railroad workers.
