For Release: 10/14/24 3:11 PM
On this special spooky episode of Kentucky Life, host Chip Polston gets a tour around Somerset, home to a wide variety of mysterious folklore that’s prompted some to call it Paranormal Somerset; recounts the 19th-century story of Octavia Hatcher, who was rumored to have been buried alive in a Pikeville cemetery, and talks with local historians and researchers in attempt to separate fact from fiction; visits Octagon Hall, a Civil War-era home in Franklin, deemed to be one of the South’s most haunted locations; and investigates the mystery of Louisville’s Belveder, once home to a strange statue that disappeared only to resurface years later.
