36th annual Summer Celebration applauds Broadway’s brightest lights
For Release: 05/08/24 12:39 PM
Join us when the curtain goes up for a show-stopping evening in support of the state’s largest performance stage. KET’s 36th annual Summer Celebration “Bravo! Broadway” is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, beginning at 7 pm, at Donamire Farm in Lexington with honorary chairs Dr. Everett and Alicia McCorvey and hostess Mira Ball.
“Now in its 36th year, Summer Celebration’s success is a tribute to our generous partners, committee volunteers, and friends who make it possible to support KET’s programs and services while enjoying a night of fellowship and fun,” said Shae Hopkins, KET’s executive director and CEO.
Attire is summer festive or costume couture. So take your shot with Hamilton, masquerade as The Phantom of the Opera or let them hear your roar as The Lion King.
The evening includes dancing and live music by The Jimmy Church Band as well as a silent auction. The mobile auction is open to all (even if you can’t make the event), with bids opening on June 3. More than 200 items are available in the swag bag, including beach, ski and mountain vacations, as well as Broadway and concert tickets, horse farm and distillery tours, fine jewelry, furnishings, fun for the family, and an assortment of pamper packages.
Tickets are $200 per person or $1,800 for a reserved table for eight with benefits. Information and reservations are available at (800) 866-0366 or online at KET.org/SummerCelebration.
