35th Summer Celebration salutes education – KET’s middle name

For Release: 05/08/23 6:42 PM

Whether you bleed blue or red, graduated a Colonel or a Pioneer, come show your school pride at KET’s salute to pomp and possibility: Summer Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, June 10, at Donamire Farm in Lexington.

Homecoming King and Queen, President Eli and Dr. Mary Lynne Capilouto, are serving as honorary chairs.  Together with Valedictorian and host Mira Ball, they invite you to “Be True to your School” in support of KET, the state’s largest classroom.

“Now in its 35th year, Summer Celebration’s success is a tribute to our generous sponsors, committee volunteers, and friends who make it possible to support KET’s programs and services while enjoying a night of fellowship and fun,” said Shae Hopkins, KET’s executive director and CEO.

Tickets are $200 per person or $1,800 for a reserved table for eight with benefits. Information and reservations are available at (800) 866-0366 or online at KET.org/SummerCelebration.

The evening, which begins at 7 pm ET, includes dancing and live music by The Jimmy Church Band and a mobile auction.  Opening early to everyone, everywhere on June 5, the auction includes UK basketball lower-arena season tickets, vacations, concerts, jewelry, furnishings, fine art and some 200 auction electives!

Attire is summer festive or costume couture: super fan, varsity jacket, cheer or band uniform, cap and gown. Or come dressed as your favorite rocket scientist, doctor, teacher, athlete or other class act!
