Public Media Giving Days
Monday May 1 @ 12:00 am – Tuesday May 2 @ 11:59 pm EDT

What about public media do you value most?
This first-ever nationwide event gives YOU the opportunity to rally behind your favorite public television and radio stations.
Is it credible journalism, deep dives into history or science, a connection to the arts, access to enriching music, or something else you hold dear? Did a public television program impact your life path — maybe motivate you to take up a musical instrument or inspire you to pursue a particular career or academic study?
“I would be lost without KET. I depend on you for Kentucky news and opinions, national and international news, and the best programming.”
Woodburn, KY
“KET has been a hallmark of reliable news and information since its inception. We in KY are lucky to have such a balanced source of the facts that enable its viewers to make informed decisions.”
Hopkinsville, KY
“My children love the children’s programs, my husband loves the travel and Ken Burns programs, and I love Masterpiece Theatre and the movies from the vault!”
Lexington, KY
Mark your calendar
On Monday, May 1: Be an advocate! Share what KET means to you and the important people in your life using #PublicMediaGives and #iLoveKET. Your stories will inspire others to reflect on what KET means to them
Then on Tuesday, May 2: Encourage people to give back to KET. Use www.KET.org/GivingDays to ask your friends to become first-time contributors to KET or, if they already contribute, to make an additional gift.
Matching Gift Club Circle
KET’s new Matching Gift Club Circle is joining Public Media Giving Days! This is a group of individuals and organizations who want to inspire others to give to KET. Throughout the year, these donors will issue challenge matches to KET viewers, aiming to raise additional funds and drive awareness of KET’s educational mission.
Thanks to the B.J. Killian Foundation, gifts made online at www.KET.org/GivingDays will be matched dollar for dollar. Another special challenge is issued to current and retired educators, whose gifts made online at www.KET.org/TeacherMatch will be matched dollar for dollar by retired teacher Mary Butler.
