Join KET at Kentucky History Day for a free special screening and panel discussion!
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday and Kentucky History Day! Join us at 11:30 am in the Brown-Forman Room for a special screening and panel discussion. Discover how America’s founding turned the world upside-down with a highlight screening of The American Revolution, a six-part, twelve-hour documentary from Ken Burns. Thirteen British colonies on the Atlantic Coast rose in rebellion, won their independence, and established a new form of government that radically reshaped the continent and inspired democratic movements around the globe.
Following the highlight screening, enjoy a thoughtful discussion from local historians moderated by the Kentucky Historical Society.
Confirmed Panelists:
• Kent Masterson Brown, author, filmmaker, founder of Witnessing History Education Foundation, Inc.
This FREE event will be held during Kentucky History Day, hosted by the Kentucky Historical Society, featuring a full day of events (9 am to 5 pm) held at various KHS venues and hosted by various community partners around Frankfort, Kentucky.
