Join KET and The Filson Historical Society for this documentary screening to learn the story of Anna and Harlan Hubbard.
The Hubbards led their lives as few people in modern times have and in doing, found contentment and freedom. Living in a boat house they built, sustained by food they raised or caught, supported by no electricity, the Hubbards, found their way without modern conveniences.
Kentucky author Wendell Berry narrates this film.
5 – 6 pm: Reception and guests can see The Filson’s exhibit “Shantyboat Life on the Ohio”
6 – 7 pm: Screening of Wonder: The Lives of Anna & Harlan Hubbard
7 – 7:30 pm: A question and answer session with producer Morgan Atkinson

This screening is part of AFLOAT: An Ohio River Way of Life. AFLOAT is a year-long focus on the Ohio River, as inspired by the life, art, writing and environmentalism of Harlan Hubbard (1900-1988).
