Join us for KET’s 4th annual Be My Neighbor Day – all weekend long!
KET is re-imagining Be My Neighbor Day to ensure the health and safety of all. In celebration of families, neighborhoods, and the values of
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, this FREE family event champions the role of community helpers and fosters conversation about what it means to be a caring neighbor.
KET and its partners, PNC and Fred Rogers Productions, are pleased to present the “Daniel Tiger Drive-Through Parade” on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville from 12 – 4 p.m.
Community helper and first responder vehicles—including police squad cars, a garbage truck, a neighborhood trolley, and more—will line the parade route for children and families to view. And, of course, Daniel Tiger will be there to wave to families as they drive through. Upon entry, each child will be given a “welcome bag” filled with activities suitable to do in the car or at home.
KET asks all attendees to remain in their vehicle throughout the event and masks will be required.
And to get the conversation started, be sure to tune-in to the
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood mini-marathon on KET from 8 – 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 26. Parents, watch this mini-marathon with your minis featuring episodes specially selected to foster conversations about community helpers and the importance of helping others.
This event is FREE, but we ask that you register prior to attending.
Thank you to our presenting partners, PNC and Fred Rogers Productions!
