MEDIA ADVISORY: ‘Kentucky Tonight’ candidate program for U.S. Senate in 2026 Primary Election

WHAT: Kentucky Tonight candidate program for 2026 primary election in the U.S. Senate race. Candidates invited to appear on the program:
U.S. Senate (Republican)

Followed by:
U.S. Senate (Democrat)
- Charles Booker
- Amy McGrath
- Dale Romans
WHEN: Monday, April 20 at 8 pm.
WHERE: KET Network Center in Lexington, 600 Cooper Drive, Lexington KY 40502.
Please note the following guidelines:
- Members of the media wishing to attend the April 20 candidate program are required to request a credential and are asked to arrive no later than 7:30 pm to allow time for security screening. Any media arriving after 7:30 pm will be given access to media room but will not be allowed in the studio at any time.
- Still photography and video will be briefly allowed in the studio prior to the program. No members of the media are allowed in the studio during the program.
- Due to the nature of this program, there will only be a short break between the end of the conversation with Republican candidates and the beginning of the one with Democratic candidates. Any media wishing to get interviews with Republican candidates immediately following that portion of the program should be sure to bring two camera operators if they also want to get b-roll of the Democratic candidates.
- There will be audio & HD-video feeds of the programs provided in the Media Room. There will be no satellite feeds of the programs.
- Only short clips (1-2 minutes) with a “Courtesy KET” credit may be used following the conclusion of the program.
- Candidates may provide media availability directly following the program.
- As quickly as possible following the conclusion, the full program will be made available online on KET.org. No “recording” and re-posting of the video is permitted.
- If using the provided embed code below to stream the program: Please be sure to remove the code following the program’s conclusion.
- No weapons of any kind may be brought into the studio where the live broadcast will take place by anyone other than KET security personnel.
