KET to host Be My Neighbor Day event in Lexington
For Release: 03/11/26 10:05 AM
KET invites children and families to its annual Be My Neighbor Day event on Saturday, March 28 at Lexington Public Library’s Marksbury Family Branch. The free event celebrates ways to be a caring neighbor and will take place from 10 am-noon. Registration is required at KET.org/BMNDLex
During the event, families will have the opportunity to meet Daniel Tiger, meet community helpers such as librarians and first responders, participate in kid-friendly yoga, and much more.
Be My Neighbor Day is supported by PNC Grow Up Great, Fred Rogers Productions and the Lexington Public Library.
Now in its seventh season on PBS KIDS, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, the first original show from Fred Rogers Productions since Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, brings the children’s television pioneer’s legacy to life for a whole new generation of young viewers. Every episode of the well-loved series showcases two distinct stories starring 4-year-old Daniel Tiger and his friends, who invite viewers to join them as they explore the colorful Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Irresistible musical strategies reinforce the unique theme of each show; preschoolers and parents can sing along and incorporate them into their daily lives.
KET is Kentucky’s largest classroom, providing trusted programming, lifelong learning opportunities and essential services to more than two million people each week. Learn more about Kentucky’s preeminent public media organization at KET.org, on X @KET and at facebook.com/KET.
