‘Kentucky Life’ travels to Jackson, Stanton, Bowling Green and Lexington this week

For Release: 04/02/26 9:56 AM

Kentucky Life zigzags the state in the latest episode as it explores locations representing historic accomplishments, past and present.

Starting in Jackson Independent School District, host Chip Polston speaks to the administrators who are leading a community effort to provide locally grown food to hungry students, championing sustainable living and farm-to-table practices.

In Stanton, Kentucky Life visits the Nada Tunnel. Often called “the gateway to the Red River Gorge,” this former railroad tunnel is now a popular tourist spot. Chip learns the history of the tunnel and shows viewers its natural beauty.

Next, Chip stops in Bowling Green to check out the Kentucky Museum. It is a history, arts and culture museum for “Kentuckians to know Kentucky.” Part of the Western Kentucky University campus, the museum’s exhibits supplement and support the learning experience.

Lastly, Kentucky Life talks to a historian in Lexington who is preserving the memories of Lexingtonians who died in 1833 of Cholera. The disease was a widespread and seemingly untreatable, sweeping the nation and killing 6,000 people, including 500 from Lexington.
