A Special Screening of Secrets of the Dead: The Civil War’s Lost Massacre at Camp Nelson

This new episode of Secrets of the Dead, which was co-produced by KET, investigates an incident from Kentucky history known as the “Simpsonville Massacre,” when 22 Civil War-era soldiers from the 5th US Colored Cavalry on a cattle drive to a Louisville slaughterhouse were ambushed and slain by outlaws.
Camp Nelson’s Chief of Education, Steve Phan, will participate in a Q&A following the screening.
