DESCRIPTION:Traumatic experiences in childhood are far more common than we know. Without intervention and treatment\, the toll of this trauma can have devastating effects on both mental and physical health\, sometimes even leading to shorter\, sicker lives. \nOn Tuesday\, Dec. 8\, at 4/3 pm\, KET presents a screening and panel discussion focused on the research surrounding trauma and toxic stress and how clinicians\, advocates and community leaders are striving to create a culture of prevention and resilience. \nHost Renee Shaw will share video segments on the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and the neurobiology of stress\, and a diverse panel will weigh in with their insights and solutions\, including how to address racial trauma and the impact of COVID-19. \nPanelists: \n\n\n\nJulia Richerson\, M.D. | Pediatrician | Family Health Centers\, Louisville\nSteven D.
