Arts Toolkit: Drama

The Drama Arts Toolkit Online

This web site provides K-12 teachers with high-quality teaching resources that bring the excitement of the theater into the classroom. You’ll find lesson plans, idea cards, glossaries, and many special features. Some of these, such as Kentuckians in Theater, Tour of the Stage, and Will Power, are designed for students as well as teachers.

For Kentucky Teachers

Teachers in Kentucky may purchase a 2nd edition Drama Arts Toolkit that includes nearly eight hours of video segments (performances, Kabuki background information, storytelling, and more); a binder with lesson plans, glossaries, responding-to guides, and a listing of Kentucky drama resources; a set of Idea Cards; a poster; and an interactive From Page to Stage CD-ROM. Materials are aligned to version 4.1 of the Kentucky Core Content.

Materials in the 1st edition of the Drama Arts Toolkit are aligned to version 3.0 of the Kentucky Core Content. Download these updates to correlate the toolkit lesson plans and other materials to version 4.1 of the Drama Core Content.

Best of the Best!

In 2005, the Drama Arts Toolkit was named Best Instructional Resource and “Best of the Best” by the National Educational Telecommunications Association—the first non-broadcast product to be named “Best of the Best”!
